About PriceMyGame
PriceMyGame is an independent project that estimates the fair market value of Fortnite accounts using real marketplace data and a machine learning model. We built it because account values are confusing, scattered across many marketplaces, and easy to misjudge — sellers often underprice rare items they own, and buyers overpay for accounts that look impressive but aren’t actually rare.
Our goal is simple: help players, buyers, and the broader Fortnite community understand what an account is actually worth, based on evidence rather than guesswork.
What we do
- Account value calculator — a free tool that estimates what your Fortnite account is worth based on the cosmetics you own, account size, platforms, and email access.
- Locker value tool — a more precise estimate that lets you pick from tens of thousands of individual skins, emotes, pickaxes, and other cosmetics.
- Skin value rankings — a data-driven ranking that shows how much each Fortnite skin actually adds to an account’s price.
- Blog — original research on the Fortnite account market: pricing trends, buyer behaviour, OG skin premiums, marketplace comparisons, and safety guides.
How our pricing model works
We collect public listing data from major third-party marketplaces where Fortnite accounts are advertised. For each listing, we record the asking price, the platforms available, the email access status, and (when sellers disclose it) the full inventory of skins, emotes, and other cosmetics. This produces a large training set of real listings, which refreshes regularly.
We then train a gradient-boosted regression model to predict account prices from those features. For skin-level value, we use a two-stage approach: first predict the account’s baseline price from its size and platforms, then measure how much each individual cosmetic lifts the price above that baseline. Values are stabilised with Bayesian shrinkage so that skins with few observations don’t appear artificially valuable.
The full methodology, model accuracy numbers, feature importance, and known weaknesses are documented in our blog under How We Built a Machine Learning Model to Price Fortnite Accounts and How We Priced Every Fortnite Skin.
Why we are not a marketplace
PriceMyGame does not buy, sell, broker, or escrow accounts. We do not host listings, process payments, or facilitate transactions between users. We are an analytics tool — we observe the public market and report what the data shows.
We are not affiliated with Epic Games. Fortnite, the Fortnite logo, and all related game content are the property of Epic Games, Inc. Epic’s own Terms of Service prohibit the buying and selling of accounts, and we encourage every user to read and follow those terms. Our content exists to inform players and researchers about the public account market, not to encourage anyone to violate any platform’s rules.
Editorial standards
Every claim in our blog and on our ranking pages is backed by data we can point to. When we cite a price, distribution, or rarity, it comes from our own dataset of real public listings, not from anecdote. When the data is uncertain or the sample is small, we say so. When our model is wrong, we update it and document the change.
We do not accept paid placements in our rankings or blog posts. Sponsored content, if any is ever published, will be clearly labelled as such.
